Basa Potato Curry

Ahem. Sorry for the unsightly presentation. I'm a rookie alrite?! But trust me, it tastes good!

Ingredients:

250 gr Basa fish fillets (or any other soft-fleshed fish will do)
3 medium sized potatoes, cut into bite-sized pcs
3 cloves of garlic, chopped coarsely
1 tbsp cooking oil
1 tbsp curry powder (I used Ayam Brand)
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp kecap manis (Indonesian sweet soy sauce)
2 stalks of coriander, chopped coarsely
1 L water
(optional) 1 tbsp Chinchalok chili sauce

Method:

1. Heat up oil, add garlic, sautee till fragrant
2. Add potatoes, stir
3. Add water, Basa fillets, curry powder. Stir, bring to boil
4. When water has reduced by about half, add kecap manis and salt. Stir gently (fish is flaky)
5. Remove from heat when the water has completely evaporated.
6. Serve, garnish with chopped coriander (and Chinchalok chili sauce)

Serves 2-3

Hello to the world!

Hellow!

Umm awkward moment..Brief intro? My name is Wina. Basically I'm a die hard food lover. I love eating good food. I really doooo! You know there are 2 types of people: 1st type is those who eat to live, and 2nd is those who live to eat! I proudly categorise myself as the 2nd one. Hurrah!

Another thing about me, I'm a university student living alone in a foreign country. As such I have no choice but cook for myself (._.) not my favourite task in the world but I'll get there. Humph : ) So since I've been making LOTS N LOTS of dishes over the past few years, I thot to myself *cue fingers snapping...*

"Hey why don't I make a blog that's all about food?"

yeah! and that's what I'm gonna do starting from now! Oh of course this blog wouldn't just show my cookings. As it's supposed to be a food blog, I'm gonna post anything food-related. Like a review of the food I had outside, a really good new food, a really good old food. Anything basically, that spells out FOOD!

Chat no more, shall start by posting my first ever recipe here on I AM FOOD. Sit back relax : )

ps: Isn't Food Critic like the BEST JOB EVER?
